The wife of a farmer develops an unusually intimate relationship with a wild dog, leading to the downfall of her marriage.
Heart of a Dog is a contemporary fable that is unapologetic in its reflection of human fallibility and encourages audiences to question their own weaknesses to temptation - and to acknowledge the consequences that follow.

LaNelle (Livi) Humphries is a SCAD senior who is directing Heart of a Dog for her Senior Capstone. She first had the idea to make Heart of a Dog in her freshman year, inspired by the Hozier song "It Will Come Back."
"When I first conceptualized it, it was a much different project. It lacked a lot of emotional depth at the time. It was just a story for the sake of entertainment. Since then, I have gone through things that helped me connect more to the concept, and have led both me and the film to grow."
